About the role:
Chemsol Scientific is seeking a talented and experienced Logistics Assistant to manage Goods in Transit, Goods Receipts and Goods Dispatch from suppliers to customers, equally to manage orders and coordinate stock of materials and equipment to ensure the company has everything required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
- Plan and track the shipment of products according to customer requirements
- Liaise with transporters and clearing agents
- Track shipments and update clients on all incoming and outgoing consignments.
- Keep track records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
- Ensuring that there is adequate stock to meet demand.
- Update and monitor inventory and warehouse space allocations
- Update and compile a database containing all information for each client.
- Assisting with the management of daily operational activities
- Observing, reviewing, and analyzing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas where improvements could be made
- Analyze data from shipping and delivery companies to follow up on bottlenecks and other issues
- Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure that the correct amount of stock is delivered.
- Preparing our clients’ orders by gathering and loading stock.
Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree in Logistics, Purchasing and Supply, Business, or any related field
- At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and systematic problem-solving skills
- Computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Assertive and result oriented
- Open-minded and a good team player
Compensation:
The incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
