1. Cold Chain Technician
Yalelo is seeking a Cold Chain Technician to perform routine inspections and maintenance of commercial cold chain equipment (freezers, cold rooms, HVAC).
The role is based in Lusaka.
The Cold Chain Technician Must be able to:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of commercial cold chain equipment (freezers, cold rooms, HVAC).
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Replace parts and run tests to ensure the systems are working properly following repairs.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Understand the principles of refrigeration.
Minimum Qualification & Competences:
- Craft Certificate – Refrigeration/Cold Chain Maintenace.
- Minimum 3-years’ experience of refrigeration maintenance in an industrial environment.
- Experience in refer maintenance will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of work and safety rules & regulations, Local Statutory Safety and Environment regulations and procedures.
- Strong computer knowledge mainly Word and Excel.
2. Facilities Technician
Yalelo is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform routine inspections and maintenance of commercial Facilities.
The role is based in Lusaka.
The Facilities Technician Must be able to:
- Oversee the fitting of new stores and refurbishing existing stores.
- Coordinate plumbing, electrical, masonry, and carpentry works for store maintenance and improvement.
- Manage contractors and vendors for specialized tasks.
- Ensure that facilities are safe and compliant with regulations.
- Develop and execute a schedule for regular maintenance and renovation projects.
Minimum Qualification & Competences:
- Diploma in civil engineering or construction.
- Project management and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in construction in an industrial environment.
3. Fleet Technician
Yalelo is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform routine inspections and maintenance of commercial Fleet Management.
The role is based in Lusaka.
The Fleet Technician Must be able to:
- Maintain and repair the fleet of vehicles and moving equipment.
- Develop and execute a preventative maintenance program.
- Coordinate inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety and emissions standards.
Minimum Qualification & Competences:
- Diploma in Automotive or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 3-year experience of Fleet maintenance in an industrial environment.
- preferably experience working on light trucks.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and regulations.
- Inventory management skills.
This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate must be available to work weekdays and weekends including rotational shifts.
