PURPOSE:
Jhpiego seeks a Data Associate who will be assigned to a specific District to support data collection, verification, management and analysis for an innovative Unit aid project that seeks to reduce PPH-related mortality and morbidity globally. Accelerating Measurable Progress and Leveraging Investments for PPH Impact (AMPLI-PPHI) is a four-year project that will catalyze early adoption and set the stage for scale up of new and recently recommended drugs for postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) in high-burden countries with a focus on DRC, Guinea, India, Kenya, Nigeria and Zambia. AMPLI-PPHI will address key barriers to policy adoption and dissemination, procurement and supply, and service delivery, with a focus on demand generation for policy-makers, providers and patients. The project will demonstrate the operational feasibility and acceptability as well as the cost-effectiveness of the new PPH drug introduction.
In collaboration with the MER Advisor, the Data Associate will provide key support for development and implementation of paper-based and/or mobile data collection tools, adherence to data collection standard operating procedures. S/he will be conducting data verification and routine data quality assessments. The Data Associate will ensure timely and accurate data entry into project and organizational DHIS databases, and prepare data for donor reporting.
This position is contingent upon award from Unitaid. Zambian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications:
- Holder of legitimate Full Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent.
- Knowledge of HMIS, SmartCare, DHIS2, eLMIS and other information systems.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in the health sector.
- Advanced Diploma or Degree in statistics, computer science, monitoring and evaluation, Public Health or related field.
- Computer literate: Proficiency in Ms Office suite and Word Strong background in data analysis.
- Experience with daily reporting is an added advantage.
- Applied knowledge of RMNCAH programming.
- Previous experience working as a data entry clerk is an added advantage but not a requirement.
- Knowledge of UNITAID, WHO, PEPFAR and HMIS Indicator definitions/ M&E Reporting systems.
