DRIVER
Reporting to the Human Resource Officer
Job Purpose
To provide reliable and safe driving services to the institution and assist with all transport-related duties.
Main Duties
- Undertake effective driving of the vehicles allocated so as to ensure the safety and timely movement of Officers, property and materials.
- To maintain high levels of safety for both passengers, self and the vehicle;
- Undertake regular inspections of the vehicles road worthiness so as to avoid traffic accidents and unnecessary breakdowns.
- To log official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, transportation/vehicle-related expenditures in order to enhance accountability of journeys
- To ensure day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle(s) including checking of oil, water, battery, tyres, etc.
- Prepares timely reports on the occurrence of road traffic accidents in order to facilitate prompt remedial actions.
- Undertake regular cleaning and secure the vehicles daily in order to ensure cleanliness and security.
- To undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Full Grade 12/ Form V School Certificate
- Must have a valid class ‘C’ driving license
- Certificate in Auto Mechanics will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years driving experience with proven clean record in a reputable organization
- Not less than 25 years
