Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring optimum plant/equipment availability.
  • Examining electrical installations and determining faults and state of repair required.
  • Carrying out planned maintenance on equipment.
  • Ensuring tools/equipment used for electrical installations are kept in appropriate places after operations.
  • Observing established Safety Regulations and Procedures.
  • Compiling checklists/worksheets and submitting them to supervisor.
  • Drive the Health, Safety and Environment Standards/Policy Awareness and Practice in the Department to ensure compliance.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Minimum Craft Certificate in Electrical from a recognized Institution.
  • Valid Membership of EIZ/ ERB.
  • Holder of a valid First Aid Certificate.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
