Zambia Sugar Plc. is a subsidiary of Illovo Sugar Africa (Pty) Ltd Group and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia.  Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.

The Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position in Estate Support Service Department:

POSITION:  REGISTERED NURSE MIDWIFE – x 1- PERMANENT

The position reports to the Nursing Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for bedside nursing and MCH duties.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Provide nursing care to both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Competency in triage, emergency, and critical care.
  • Collaborate with doctors, medical licentiates, and clinical officers while providing treatment.
  • Bedside nursing.
  • Conversant in nursing procedures (phlebotomy, IV insertion, catheterisation, wound dressing, oral & IM drug administration)
  • Counselling/ IEC
  • Maternal child health.
  • Any other duties as may be required.

 

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements areas

 

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma in Registered nursing.
  • Advanced Diploma (Midwifery).
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
  • Fully registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Must have valid practicing license.
  • Sound knowledge in ART/ Wellness programme added advantage.
