Mechanic
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on university vehicles and machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Conduct safety checks and inspections on equipment.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts inventory.
- Ensure all vehicles are in safe working order and meet regulatory standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs as needed.
- Assist in the general upkeep of the university’s transportation and mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with vehicles and machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations regarding vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Good communication skills for reporting and coordinating with the team
