On behalf of our esteemed client, we are recruiting a National Sales Manager. Our client is a progressive organization specializing in the poultry business.
Job Purpose:
- Achieve business objectives and maintain high standards of performance.
Lead and support teams, manage resources efficiently and play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction. - Contribute to strategic decision-making, market expansion, and overall organizational success within the designated region.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the regional market, considering competition and trends.
- Provide technical support to farmers.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending farmers’ workshops and poultry seminars, establishing personal networks, and participating in farmers’ societies.
- Set ambitious sales targets aligned with company goals.
Mentor sales representatives, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring team cohesion. - Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to refine strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure seamless communication between headquarters and regional teams, providing regular updates and insights.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommend changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions within the regional sales context.
- Demonstrate adaptability to changing market conditions, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to meet evolving business and customer demands.
- Be prepared for regular travel within the region to meet clients, attend conferences, and conduct onsite visits with the sales team.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback, using insights to improve products, services, and the overall customer experience.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all sales activities within the region.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team, ensuring they stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Work closely with other departments, such as market and product development, to align strategies and achieve overall company objectives.
- Lead and inspire a regional sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve targets.
- Address conflicts or challenges within the sales team promptly, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Respond to customers’ calls at all times. - Maintain regular communication with the General Manager.
