Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Ensuring the timely response to breakdown and planned jobs.
• Performing calibration on the plant scales.
• Conducting regular inspections and maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Utilizing test equipment to maintain and calibrate equipment to performance standard.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and have knowledge of the plant installations, type of tools used and test equipment.
• Receiving daily working schedules from the supervisor and ensuring timely completion of document related to jobs.
• Working with the Foreman in updating of sectional documents like SWPs, and Risk Assessment when changes arise.
• Utilizing material and time to ensure work is completed to acceptable standard.
• Ensuring and conducting good housekeeping upon completion of any task.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Craft certificate or Diploma in instrumentation or industrial electronics.
• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a processing or mining plant.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Member of EIZ/ EngRB.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• At least 2 years of experience in Mining Industry preferably Underground.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
