Finance Intern – Lusaka

The internship exists to provide treasury and accounts payable management experience to the incumbent.

Position

The program is based on the following fundamental learning activities

Efficient Management of Accounts Payable

• Timely processing of vendor invoices and adherence to agreed payment terms.
• Reconciling vendor accounts and resolving outstanding issues.
• Ensuring invoices and credit notes comply with statutory requirements.
• Monthly review of GR/IR accounts and timely follows up mismatches with PR/PO

Cash and treasury management

• Prepare weekly and monthly cash requirements forecast
• Report daily bank balances to ensure adequately funded for payments (No Cash Outs)
• Prepare monthly reports for bank and finance charges
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all responsible bank accounts.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration
• Partially qualified ACCA, CIMA, CA or other relevant professional qualification
• Registered with ZICA
• Minimum of a school certificate with credits in English and Mathematics
• Accurate, well-organized with strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal & communication skills, pro-active, with strong sense of urgency and autonomous but team-oriented
• Innovative and ability to embrace continuous improvement
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
