Lab Technician at Trade Zone Limited

Trade Zone Limited is currently looking to hire an experienced Lab Technician to be based in Lusaka.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for testing all parameters of incoming raw materials
• Responsible for sample and formula testing of materials
• Recording all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format (written and/or electronic)
• Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the laboratory.
• Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
• Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
• Collecting, receiving, labeling, and/or analyzing samples or substances using the correct testing equipment, when necessary.
• Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings
• Cleaning, preparing and sterilizing materials and equipment for laboratory work
• Laboratory services in ensuring technical and methodological standard parameters.
• Other related work as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements and skills

• Grade 12 with five (5) “O” Levels
• Diploma/Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field
• Analytical skills and proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• 2 years and above working experience
