Job description:

Purpose

  • Facilitate and conduct training programs for students to develop entrepreneurial skills and a strong foundation in business principles at the craft level.
  • Provide comprehensive instruction on business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, and effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that integrates real-world case studies, hands-on activities, and innovative teaching practices to empower students with the skills and mindset needed to succeed in entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities

This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures, and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver entrepreneurship training programs aligned with the prescribed curriculum and industry standards.
  • Design and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and practical exercises focused on entrepreneurial skill-building.
  • Incorporate multimedia resources, group discussions, and case studies to enhance students’ understanding of entrepreneurship concepts.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students on their entrepreneurial ideas and guide them in refining business plans and solving challenges
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of student attendance, performance, and assessments, adhering to professional record management standards.
  • Collaborate with the training Superintendent or relevant supervisor to ensure all training initiatives align with institutional goals.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as reasonably assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Degree in Entrepreneurship, BTEVET, or related qualification
  • Teaching Methodology Qualification

Experience

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in entrepreneurial ventures, business management, or coaching individuals in launching and managing businesses.
  • Prior experience as a trainer or instructor in a technical, vocational, or professional setting, preferably in a TEVET institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training programs, lesson plans, and assessments focused on entrepreneurship.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of entrepreneurship principles, business planning techniques, and financial management
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments in compliance with record management standards.
  • Strong ability to foster engagement, motivate students, and encourage innovative thinking.
  • Accreditation to teach Maths or Science, or both is an added advantage
