Job Purpose
The National Health Insurance Management Authority seeks to employ a Project Management Specialist through the National Health Insurance Project, on a fifteen (15) months fixed-term contract. The Project Management Specialist will be reporting to the Project Lead.
Key Responsibilities
The role of the Project Management Specialist is to Coordinate, Monitor and evaluate the sub projects within the Project. Duties will include the following:-
1.Assist in the development of the Project Work Plan and keep it updated in accordance with project activities and timeframes as relevant,
2.Design and implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation activities of the Project,
3.Review the quality of existing data in the Project subject areas, the methods of collecting it, and the degree to which it will provide good baseline statistics for impact evaluation,
4.Develop baseline data for each Project component and for all project indicators,
5.With collaborating partners, review their existing approaches and management information systems and agree on any required changes, support, and resources,
6.Gathering of relevant Project progress data and production of information to be presented for review by management,
7.Tracking the overall status and updates of the Project,
8.Maintain relevant project data in various systems pertaining to capacity, new opportunities, and general project records,
9.Oversee the upkeep of Project documents to ensure the are fit for use,
10.Prepare reports on Project progress and monitor the project activities on a regular basis and
11.Develop and maintain the MIS of the Project and take responsibility for the collection and analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
⦁Full grade twelve certificate with at least 5 credits
⦁Degree in Business or Social Sciences with a qualification in Project Management
⦁Or a Professional or academic qualification in Project Management
⦁Research and analytical skills
⦁Influencing skills and using those skills to drive change and add value
⦁Strong execution skills to achieve the targets of the Project
⦁Ability to think clearly and assess matters quickly and to solve problems on short notice
⦁Valid driver’s licence
⦁At least 5 years experience in a project environment.
