Job Description: We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage our financial records, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and oversee our receivables and payables. This role requires a self-starter with a strong background in accounting, capable of meeting KPIs and delivering accurate financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Management: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns.
  • Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and accounts.
  • Receivables and Payables Management: Oversee the accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to management.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  • KPI Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators related to financial operations.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as required to support the finance department.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits including English and Mathematics
  • A Member of ZICA, ACCA or CIMA level II or equivalent
  • Experience with ERP systems is essential.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  • Strong understanding of Zambian tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly.
