Accounts and Operations Manager at Ventures Equipment Limited

Ventures Equipment Limited, a Lusaka based Consultancy and Logistics Company is looking to fill a middle management position of Accounts and Operations Manager. The company therefore seeks a skilled Accountant to join the team. As the Accountant, the person will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial and operational activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our accounting processes. The required candidate should have the following credentials:

· ACCA 2 or the ZICA equivalent

· Proven experience as an Accountant with 5 years accounting work experience

· Ability to work under in a versatile environment, multi task and meet deadlines

· Possess effective communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

· Set up accounting policies and controls to ensure proper financial management

· Ensure Tax compliance and other statutory requirements

· Conduct periodic financial audits to verify accuracy, identify discrepancies, and rectify errors.

· Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making.

· Manage and maintain all financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

· Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Analyze current and past expenses, sales, product deficiencies, and revenues.

· Develop comprehensive knowledge about the business and its development practices

· Manage and optimize the transportation business through the setting up of controls and human resource management

· Prepare monthly Profit and Loss statements

· Able to address any business development and operational assignments assigned
