The Key purpose of the role is the effective monitoring and accounting of all non-current assets under Zambian Breweries

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Precise monitoring of monthly movements in fixed assets, encompassing both capitalizations and disposals
  • Regularly liaising with Project Managers to obtain breakdowns and asset listings for completed CAPEX projects
  • Ensuring the completion of all asset take-on forms for capitalization by the 25th of each month and submitted for approval
  • Conducting monthly reconciliations of fixed assets, including capital work in progress, property, plant, and equipment (PPE) notes, and container additions, for comprehensive reporting and uploading into HFM
  • Providing accurate reports on monthly CAPEX spending, promptly identifying and flagging any potential risks of overspending
  • Delivering timely monthly reports and performing cooler verification
  • Conducting reconciliations for assigned GL accounts and managing the daily reconciliation of border fees and dividends bank statements
  • Proactively addressing any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Minimum requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in any business field. A professional qualification such as ACCA II and ACCA III would be an added advantage
  • Grade 12 certificate with a minimum of 6 credits
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budget allocations
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, and the ability to collaborate with diverse individuals in different roles
  • Demonstrates good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Exhibits very strong self and time management capabilities, with the ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint platforms
