The key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
- Executes policies, procedures and guidelines cascaded by the functional lead and ensures compliance with the same;
- Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of forecasting and budgeting strategies and proposes and offers suggestions for improvements;
- Gathers assumptions and business drivers critical for forecasting and defining the business plan, along with budgets for the OpCo. Carries out this activity in close coordination with the manager and senior management, as required;
- Ensures adherence to Group DigiFin Finance guidelines and timelines with regard to Budgets, Forecasts and business plans for the Opco;
- Ensures submissions to Group DigiFin are in line with required frameworks, guidelines & templates;
- Develops the business and budget plan based on assumptions and other key inputs such as proposed strategic initiatives and market assessment;
- Validates, socialises and update drafts of business and budget plan with relevant stakeholders at the Opco including C-level stakeholders;
- Submits formal business plan and budget for approval as per defined delegation of authority;
- Ensures that the approved budgets are loaded properly and maintained in the financial system;
- Ensures adequate reconciliations are performed prior to formal upload and communication of approved budgets;
- Provides summary of approved plan to Manager and Opco CFO for presentation to the Board of Directors;
- Supports in internal and external audit programmes, providing relevant data on financial planning & budgeting;
- Ensures compliance to Governance protocols and policies (committee approvals, DoA, process etc.);
- Supports scenario analysis and modelling to arrive at realistic and planned targets for achievement;
- Analyses potential issues and risks to enable ‘early resolution and course correction;
- Assists deep-dive root cause assessments as a means to improve financial performance;
- Supports ad-hoc analysis to develop revenue, margins, and frame contracts.
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must;
- A Degree in Finance or Accounting, management or related field;
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ total experience in Forecasting and Budgeting or allied field is required;
- Experience in Fintech, banking or Financial Services is preferred;
- Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding emerging markets is preferred
