Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining the equipment in the section to ensure maximum availability.
  • Receiving instructions from the Foreman or Supervisor and plan work accordingly to ensure tasks are completed to the required standard and timely.
  • Utilizing resources available to ensure work is completed to set standards and within the budget.
  • Ensuring that equipment, tools and work areas are clean and tidy after use in order to work efficiency and safety.
  • Ensuring total completion of all relevant documents to enable effective information transfer from Foreman/Supervisor to Management (job cards, checklists, etc).
  • Adhering to Statutory and Domestic Regulations in particular those relating to the Safe Work Procedures in order to minimize injury to personnel, polluting the environment and damage to company assets.
  • Adhering to all other assignments that are given that are lawful and fair.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Craft Certificate in Bricklaying.
  • Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
  • Have good oral and written Communication Skills.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
