Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure optimum availability of the equipment.
  • Examine electrical/electronic installations and determine faults and state of repairs required including the parts and materials needed for repair works.
  • Ensure that tools/equipment used for electrical/electronic installations are kept in appropriate places after operations.
  • Conduct planned and adhoc plant maintenance to plant and equipment in accordance with job card instructions and as per drawing.
  • Utilize correct materials and consumables as per the specifications and location.
  • Ensure that lock out tag out procedures are followed at all times where applicable.
  • Show work progress/delays for attention/action.
  • Prevent injury to personnel and safeguard company property.
  • Ensure compliance to the Health, Safety and Environment standards/policy.
  • Participate in effective pre-start meetings.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Minimum Craft Certificate in Electrical from a recognized Institution.
  • Valid Membership of EIZ/ ERB.
  • Holder of a valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience on winders will be an added advantage.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
