The Company seeks to recruit for the following positions:

1. Position: Assistant Accountant

Location: Lusaka

Job purpose: As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting our accounting operations, financial reporting and maintaining accurate financial records. This position offers an opportunity to develop your accounting skills and contribute to the financial success of the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in processing invoices, payments and receipts.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable and payable.
  • Assist in recording financial transactions accurately.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Help analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and record company expenses.
  • Verify expense reports submitted by employees.
  • Prepare audit schedules and assist auditors during the audit process.
  • Maintain organised financial records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and relevant regulations.Assist in financial analysis to support decision-making.

Experience, qualifications and skills

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Diploma or BSc in Accounting, finance or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in accounting software and microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Valid practicing license
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations
  • Great sense of urgency

2. Position: Logistics Officer

Location: Lusaka

Job purpose: The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the logistics and supply chain activities of the company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our operational efficiency and ensure timely delivery of goods and services to our customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
  • Monitor stock movements and reorder points.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and audits.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Track and manage shipments, including customs clearance if applicable.
  • Resolve any logistics-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Plan and schedule transportation for incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Optimise routes and distribution methods to minimise costs.
  • Monitor the performance of transportation providers.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping and customs documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and trade laws.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
  • Analyse logistics and transportation costs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Develop contingency plans for potential disruptions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate logistics requirements.
  • Provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders regarding shipment status.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with external partners.

Experience, qualifications and skills

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics,
    Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Valid practicing license
  • Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations is a plus.
