Job Description:
To carry out surveying and mapping various aspects of the mine, ensuring accurate and precise measurements for planning, development, and safety purposes.
Duties:
- Conduct daily pit surveys for accurate monthly volume calculation.
- Stake out development designs in a timely manner.
- Stake out all Production Designs in a timely manner.
- Carry out stockpile survey.
- Updating Temporal benchmarks on mining levels and dump sites.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining survey equipment, ensuring their proper functionality.
- Help in implementing safety procedures and regulations related to surveying activities.
- Any other task as directed by your supervisor.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Must have at least 2 years mine/land surveying experience.
- Proficiency in surveying instruments and software such as total stations, GPS, and GIS.
- Exposure to mine software including Subpack will be added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and adapt to changing conditions
