Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Head of IL – the Branch Manager will be responsible for managing Branch productivity in line with company set targets.

Purpose of the role

  • To drive sales in the Branch, responsible for increasing the branch’s client base and revenue
  • To ensure the Sales Team adheres to the Company’s set processes and procedures.
  • To ensure company set targets are met

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Branch Administration
  • Be in charge of Life Agents
  • Recruiting, training, and motivating Life Sales Agents
  • Developing sales strategies and setting sales targets.
  • Monitoring the team performances and motivating them to reach targets.
  • Compiling and analyzing sales figures.
  • Dealing with some major sales accounts.
  • Collecting customer feedback and Market research.
  • Gather market intelligence and advise Head of Sales accordingly.
  • Advise on market information such as changing customer needs, queries, etc.

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • Business related bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Diploma in Insurance from AIIK / ACII or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Proven experience (at least two years) in a related field i.e. banking/insurance marketing
  • Good record of achieving sales targets.
  • Managerial & Strong Selling skills
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
  • Other required attributes
  • Experience and track record in Sales and Sales Management
  • Must have been a resident in a particular area for the last 12 months and must have had a working knowledge of the area for at least 12 months within the last 5 years.
  • Be able to demonstrate self-confidence, maturity, and ability to work independently and deliver results without close supervision.
  • Be results-orientated with entrepreneurial drive to achieve set goals.
  • Be able to demonstrate a keen ability to inter-relate with people of diverse backgrounds and have a service-oriented disposition.
  • Mature and good communication skill (both orally and written)
    Should be aggressive, effective communicator, team player, sociable, versatile, resourceful, hardworking, and self-initiative.
  • Good presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate, energetic and confident.
