Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Associate to join our team in Lusaka. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and have the ability to understand and articulate our products and services. This role requires someone who is proactive, able to identify and pursue new business opportunities, and capable of building strong relationships with clients and partners. The Business Development Associate will play a key role in expanding our footprint in Zambia and driving the growth of our diverse range of tech solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential business opportunities and trends in the tech industry in Zambia.
• Lead Generation: Identify and engage with potential clients and partners through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and online platforms.
• Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
• Sales Support: Assist in the creation of sales proposals, presentations, and contracts. Support the sales process by effectively communicating the value proposition of our products and services.
• Strategy Development: Collaborate with the business development team to create and implement strategies for market penetration and revenue growth in Zambia.
• Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of Veritas Interactive’s products and services, particularly in government tech, Edutech, and Proptech, and be able to explain them to clients.
• Reporting and Analysis: Track business development activities and provide regular reports on lead generation, sales performance, and market trends.
• Event Participation: Represent Veritas Interactive at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the brand and generate new business leads.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the tech industry.
• Strong understanding of technology and the ability to explain technical products and solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Must be based in Lusaka, Zambia.
• Past experience in the tech field is an added advantage.
