Job Description

 

To receive, release, manage and report on imperfect or outstanding collateral

  • Assume accountability for the efficient and timeous capturing of data in the securities and Credit Support department
  • Assume accountability for the efficient and timeous fulfilment of the Bonds and/or Insurance process duties in the Securities and Credit Support
  • Liaise and maintain good relations with Attorneys and/or relevant Insurance companies, insisting upon the laid down standards and resolving any misunderstanding immediately
  • Resolve bond and Insurance process related queries quickly and efficiently
  • Ensure that the progress of all bonds/or insurance processes are properly diarised, follow-ups are attended to and that all parties are adequately informed
  • Adhere to the laid down Bond and insurance processes, maintaining efficient electronic tracking and monitoring processes and providing regular feedback to Supervisor
  • Source all the information necessary to finalise the preparation of each document
  • Provide consultative support to the Credit and Relationship function
  • Keeping clear and unambiguous records of all credit documents held by the bank, including identification and unambiguous recording of unacceptable documents
  • Assist with the development and formalisation of the team’s document preparation, checking and record-keeping processes
  • Provide training to other members of the team when necessary
  • Assist other team members with their functions when necessary
  • Assume accountability for the accurate record-keeping and filling of documents
  • Attend to the logging in and out of documents
  • Maintain customer files in appropriate order
  • Ensure that vault duties are adhered to
  • Assist Business Units/Banking with bank drafts (ordering and allocation
  • Assume accountability in sanctioning credit applications on CWS of any amount, confirming   accuracy and authenticity of security documents
  • Maintain quality assurance of the documents held by the Business Unit
  • Maintain control over the flow of original documents, adhering to laid down processes
  • Adhere to the laid down capturing processes and data entry standards, maintaining and monitoring processes and providing regular feedback to supervisor
