Job Purpose(s)
- Acquire and nurture strategic customers to drive business growth.
- Build the bank’s franchise as the preferred choice for market players. Ensure total business development for all areas within the country, maintaining a healthy P&L position aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee Corporate, Wholesale, Public Sector, Retail, and Digital Banking Sales businesses.
- Develop sales strategies in coordination with product and sales teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, implementing vertical market strategies.
- Identify and capitalize on existing and emerging opportunities, forming alliances to enhance growth and service offerings.
- Prepare and document market plans, ensuring conversion to value.
- Analyze and forecast selling procedures, measuring the profitability of relationships.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive trade and other businesses.
- Provide support to Relationship Managers/Officers in expanding and deepening relationships.
- Conduct necessary training for in-country Relationship Managers/Officers.
- Develop and secure approval for business strategies, ensuring effective implementation in line with the approved budget.
- Manage overall performance in terms of revenue, profitability, and business growth.
- Ensure adequate resourcing and coach/motivate employees to execute strategic decisions effectively.
- Ensure desirable performance against budget.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Country CEO.
Job Requirements
Education Requirements
- Minimum of a first degree in a relevant discipline.
- Master’s degree or Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 15 years’ relevant banking experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level.
