National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) wishes to recruit three directors to be based at its Head Office in Lusaka.
The successful applicants will be expected to have demonstrable competencies relevant to the job and will be offered a competitive remuneration package.
2.0 DIRECTOR STRATEGY AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
2.1 Main Purpose of the Job
The Director Strategy and Business Performance coordinates the development, implementation of the overall NAPSA business strategy and the individual directorate and departmental strategies. Additionally, the director is responsible for actuarial services, research, process improvement and Authority business continuity plans and implementation.
2.2 Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the directorate strategy to provide a framework to support the implementation of the overall NAPSA strategy.
- Coordinate development of the overall NAPSA strategic plan, and the individual departmental and directorate strategic plans.
- Monitor the implementation of the Authority’s Strategic Plan.
- Coordinate research on best practice trends in the field of Social Security and pension schemes.
- Coordinate the production of Authority business continuity plans and its implementation across functions.
- Lead the review and update of Authority policies and the re- engineering of business process to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate the delivery of actuarial assessment and valuations and the implementation of their recommendations.
- Analyses actuarial reports to identify critical information required in the development of investment strategies.
- Develops and implements performance measurement systems including a corporate performance monitoring and evaluation mechanism and communicate results to all staff.
- Develop, monitor and report the Authority’s service delivery standards.
- Prepare annual budget for the directorate and ensure sufficient financial and human resources to deliver the directorates plans and strategies.
- Develop the annul work plans for the directorate.
- Develop policies and procedures for the directorate and coordinate their implementation.
- Identify new opportunities for the Authority and manage the process of responding to such opportunities.
- Develop and implement a human capital development plan for the Directorate to ensure the availability of competencies critical for the delivery of the plans.
Key Competencies Required Include:
- Strategy formulation, implementation and monitoring
- Business environment analysis
- Scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
- Business process improvement
- Organisation performance management
Relevant Qualifications
- Five (5) “O” Levels with Credit and above including Mathematics and English
- Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Management or any relevant business-related field
- Masters Degreein Strategic Management or any relevant business.
Personal and Professional Experience:
- Not less than ten (10) years of experience in strategy and business performance management at a Senior Management level in an organization of similar size
