The key purpose of this role is to make beer sales deliveries to customers based on orders made as well as make deliveries to other ZB plants as instructed.

Key roles and responsibilities:

 

Product Deliveries

  • Product is delivered on time according to planned orders and schedule or ad hoc orders and according to the route

Safety

  • Report all safety incidents within 24 hours of occurrence
  • Attend to all safety trainings
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations

 

Asset Care/Autonomous Maintenance

  • The Driver shall always maintain his Truck is neat condition
  • The Driver shall always fill in their Pre-trip check sheet before exiting the plant first thing in the morning and detail all defects on the Truck
  • The Driver shall be responsible for the hooking and off-hooking of the Trailer to and from the Horse as and when need arise for drop trailers. The driver shall make sure that the truck is swept by the truck assistant at all times

 

Problem Escalation

  • The Driver shall ensure that problems outside their span of control are escalated to the Distribution Controller without fail

 

Customer Service

  • Customers are briefed about routine happenings in the company and product matters.
  • Complaints and suggestions are noted and reported to superior.
  • Customers are advised on how payments are made for the product delivered

 

Administration

  • Records of fuel/ lubes in-take and vehicle movements are kept
  • Preventative maintenance schedules are followed
  • Necessary pertaining to vehicle problems are reported and recorded on the inspection sheets

 

Profile:

  • Min: Grade 12 Certificate
  • Code CE driving License
  • Energetic and able to work under pressure
  • Pleasant personality
  • Good communication skills

 

Training:

  • Site control and warehouse procedures.
  • All Safety trainings
  • HHT On-Board Invoicing competency

 

Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a related job
