Job Summary: Under immediate supervision, early years teachers develop the social and communication skills of children and provide a safe and secure environment in which the child can learn. They build and maintain relationships with parents/guardians to further support children. Record observations and summarize the children’s achievements. Focus on optimum child development and preparation for a successful transition to primary school education.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 20 years old and above
- Must be a Christian with at least 3 years of testimony of Christian faith
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 15 credits in Early Childhood Education.
- At least two years of teaching experience.
- Ability to relate positively to young children, parents and staff.
- Fluent in English, both reading and writing
- Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
- Demonstrate an ability to work successfully with community-based agencies and build partnerships.
- Demonstrated supervision skills
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) the training and experience necessary to develop consistent, stable, and supportive relationships with very young children.
