DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Facilities Associate – Level I to join our team specializing in Facilities & Vehicle Management for our Distribution Business Unit in Kitwe, Zambia.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Provide safe transportation, vehicle maintenance, route planning.
  • Maintain service records and ensure that vehicle is kept clean and up to standards.
  • Support with Facility Improvements: You’ll assist with changes and improvements, ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintaining Vendor Relationships for all suppliers dealing with the fleet. By working with suppliers and vendors, you’ll help maintain essential services and foster strong partnerships.
  • Supporting Project Coordination: Your role in scheduling work and special projects will help ensure timely and organized execution.
  • Space Management: Updating and managing CAD layouts and master plans will optimize the use of floor and office space.
  • Equipment Installation: Organizing the installation of communications equipment will enhance facility connectivity and functionality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participating in audits and improvement processes will help drive efficiency and quality in facility operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong Emergency Preparedness Skills: Ability to plan, manage, and support emergency preparedness programs, identify risks, and develop risk management plans for incidents like power outages, floods, and fires.
  • Proficiency in Facilities Operation: Competence in managing occupant services (e.g., parking, janitorial, food services), maintenance contracting, and operational planning for temperature control, lighting, equipment replacement, and water treatment.
  • Appreciation for Diversity: Recognizing and valuing different perspectives and cultures, which enhances collaboration and innovation within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Minimal or no work experience required.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Significant driving experience
