Unicaf University in Zambia is growing and looking for applications from suitably qualified
candidates for the position of Faculty and Programme Leader in Computer Science and
Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating various Computer Science/IT programmes offered through our online platform and on campus
- Identifying, coordinating and assisting in the development of new programmes in this field
- Undertaking asynchronous teaching of online modules in the area of Computer Science/IT.
- Developing assessment instruments and assisting in Evaluating and/or grading student assignments
- Conducting continuous/annual monitoring of academic programmes in this field
- Responsible for the quality assurance oversight of academic processes associated with Computer Science/IT programmes (e.g. marking, moderation, academic misconduct,
etc.) - Creating and enhancing material for an improved student/instructor experience (e.g., handbooks, programme guides, etc.)
- Conducting/participating in research activities in the related field
- Performing other related tasks, as deemed necessary
Requirements
- A relevant Postgraduate degree from a recognised institution. A PhD will be considered an advantage
- High level of proficiency in English Language
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching at Tertiary Education level
- Experience in online teaching will be considered an advantage
- Demonstrable research achievements will be considered an advantage
