JOB TITLE: FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – FILTERS 

 

We are seeking a Field Service Technician – Filters to join our Field Service Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality field services to our customers adhering to Metso safety requirements, processes instructions and training.

 

In this position, you will report to the Field Service Manager.

This position is mainly located in Kitwe, Zambia.

 

TEAM YOU BELONG TO

You will join the Field Service Team and work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as Customers and Metso’s Field Service Teams.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform field service activities both at customer site and in the office with support/supervision as required
  • Basic customer problem solving
  • Repairs and preventative maintenance work
  • Equipment inspections with recommendations
  • Assembling/dissembling, installation & commissioning
  • Trade specific discipline work (hydraulics, mechanics, automation etc)
  • Operation and maintenance activities
  • Customer training on basic operation and maintenance
  • Remote support to colleagues and customers
  • Follow Metso processes, instructions and training in performance of duties with a focus on our brand requirements, certification principles, field service process utilisation of the FSM tool and digital inspection application
  • Follow Metso customer H&S requirements, ensuring adherence to the MO ‘Modus Operandi’ in performing duties
  • Deliver site reports, times sheets and travel expense reports after each job in a timely manner
  • Identify sales leads and promote services offerings

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Professional Certification in Filters
  • Minimum 4-year relevant field activity
  • Have experience in Filtration Dewatering Equipment, preferably Pressure Filters on Mining sites
