Financial Accountant at inq

To maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and prepare financial reports. The Financial Accountant supports the Finance department in delivering financial statements and managing accounts.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Level 2 or higher in ZICA, CA or equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.

• Experience in the telecommunications, IT, or infrastructure sector is an advantage.

Technical Abilities:

• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.

• Proficiency in financial ERP systems (Pastel, Sage, or similar)

• Advanced knowledge of IFRS, taxation, corporate finance

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Competencies:

• Attention to detail, analytical skills, time management, and compliance focused.

Key Performance Areas:

· General Ledger Management: Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger (KPI: Accuracy of ledger entries, timely reconciliations).

· Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (KPI: Timeliness of reports, compliance with reporting standards).

· Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting principles (KPI: No tax or regulatory violations, audit findings).

· Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded (KPI: Number of reconciliations completed on time).

· Payment Processing: Handle vendor and employee payments accurately and on schedule (KPI: Timeliness and accuracy of payments, minimal errors).
