FINANCIAL AUDITOR INTERN

1. 1Brief Summary

The Zambia International Trade Fair Trust (ZITFT) is inviting applications from talented, energetic, enthusiastic, suitably qualified, and experienced candidates for the position of Financial Auditor Intern X2.

2. Job Responsibilities

The financial auditor intern will assist the finance manager in preparing financial statement for audits, primarily by performing data analysis, document review, and basic control testing to verify the accuracy and reliability of financial records.

3. Key responsibilities may include:

• Performing data extraction, cleansing, and analysis from the Trusts’ systems to identify potential discrepancies or anomalies.

• Examining supporting documents like invoices, purchase orders, and bank statements to verify transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Executing procedures to assess the effectiveness of a company’s internal controls over financial reporting, including walkthroughs and sample testing.

• Verifying figures, documents, and account details for auditing, such as cash flow data, income statements, and tax returns.

• Providing financial control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

• Assessing the risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance.

4. Qualifications and Skills

• Strong math and computer-related skills

• Proficient at presenting and writing detailed reports

• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a team environment

5. Education and Experience Requirements

• Currently CA Advisory Professional in Accountancy

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting sciences or a related field

• Exceptional understanding of financial rules and regulations

• Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage Pastel, or similar systems
