Gloria Inn Hotel Zambia Limited, an esteemed establishment renowned for its commitment to excellence in hospitality, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. Located in the vibrant city of Ndola, Zambia, our hotel is dedicated to providing unparalleled service and unforgettable experiences to our guests.

Position: Food and Beverage Manager
Minimum Experience: 4 years in a hotel or fine dining restaurant
Education: Diploma or degree in hotel management or any related discipline

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations including menu planning, quality control, inventory management, staff supervision, customer service, regulatory compliance, financial management, and event management
  2. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menus and ensure consistent quality.
  3. Maintain inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and minimize waste.
  4. Lead and motivate staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  5. Uphold standards of service excellence and ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  7. Manage financial aspects of the department, including budgeting and cost control.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Provide staff leadership, training, and development opportunities.
  2. Conduct performance evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  3. Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise among team members.

Education and Experience Required:

  1. Full Grade 12 certificate.
  2. Diploma or degree in hotel management, business, or related field.
  3. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
  4. Strong understanding of industry trends.
