Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of School to lead our institution into the future. If you are passionate about education, possess strong leadership skills, and are dedicated to fostering a supportive and innovative learning environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the Cherry Hills vision.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
- Act as a liaison between parents and the school concerning academic, extracurricular, and social matters involving our students.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion to foster an inclusive school environment.
- Adapt to new educational trends and manage change effectively.
- Make informed, timely decisions in the best interest of the school community.
- Uphold high moral standards and ethical practices.
- Foster a collaborative culture, encouraging teamwork and valuing contributions from all school members.
- Ensure high-quality education through a deep understanding of educational theories and practices.
- Resolve conflicts effectively, maintaining a harmonious school environment.
- Encourage innovative teaching methods and creative problem-solving approaches.
- Manage school resources efficiently to achieve educational goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or better in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in school administration or leadership are highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in educational leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in international school(s), such as Head of School, Deputy Head, or Head of Department.
- Conversant in Cambridge Curriculum and the UK National Curriculum – Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Proven track record of successful management and leadership of international schools.
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team of educators and administrative staff.
