JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all Human Resource department staff and tasks.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and industry standards
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure HR strategies contribute to overall business success.
- Oversee recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates.
- Develop retention strategies to minimize turnover and promote employee engagement.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain a fair and respectful workplace environment.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and ensure timely resolution
- Design and administer performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance
- Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews and setting goals.
- Identify training and development needs to enhance employee performance and career growth.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness within the industry
- Stay updated on legislative changes related to employee benefits and ensure compliance.
- Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in accordance with labor laws and industry regulations.
- Serve as the key point of contact for the Zambia Ministry of Labour and all recognised unions.
