Job Purpose
To achieve organizational effectiveness through the deployment of Human Capital processes.

Duties and Responsibilities: –

1. Man Power Planning:
– Conduct manpower planning and scheduling activities to ensure that work operations have the correct quality and quantity of talent at any time to ensure work output is realized.
2. Recruitment and Selection
– Prepare job descriptions, advertise vacant positions, and manage the employment process within the stipulated guidelines of the Service Level Agreements.

– Orientate new employees and training existing employees.
3. Performance and Productivity Management

– Monitor employee performance and ensure that all deliverables are met within the stipulated timelines
– Communicating with staff about issues affecting their performance.
– Ensure that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment.
– Set rewards and recognition targets, and Motivation strategies.
4. Spearhead Health and Safety Programs
– Oversee the health and safety of all employees and the adherence to all stipulated health and safety standards.
5. Payroll Administration
– Ensure the meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits inputs to payroll in a timely manner.
6. Employee Records Management
– Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and hard copy format to ensure process trails are maintained.
7. Handling Employee Relations
– Handle Disciplinary Cases
– Spearhead rewards and recognition programs
– Handle Leave Management
– Employee grievance handling
8. Compensation and benefits
– Develop pay scale and structure.
– Keep competitive pay rates current to the labour market.
– Ensure that payroll complies with state laws and federal regulations.
– Oversee pay distribution to employees.

9. Create reports on all role activities as may be required of the role and by the relevant statutory requirements

Qualifications

1. Diploma in Human Resources, or related field
2. ZIHRM license is an added advantage

Experience and Competencies

1. Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in Human Resources in any specialist or generalist practice area.
2. Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution.
3. Excellent working knowledge of employment legislation in particular the Employment Code Act.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
6. Knowledge of legal HR compliance standards.
7. High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate and discuss sensitive or challenging topics.
8. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
9. Able to comfortably engage with executive stakeholders, including board members and peers at other companies.
10. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
11. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
12. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
13. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
14. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
