Knight Piésold Southern Africa is an international engineering and environmental consulting company providing services mainly to the mining, water supply and civil engineering industries. We currently require a Lead Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Kitwe Office.
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc Eng (Civil) with professional registration with EIZ is required.
- More than 15 years experience in geotechnical, tailings, dams or hydropower engineering.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with civil designs and construction, associated earthworks, and geotechnical investigation programmes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to set priorities, collect and document project requirements, and successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Be willing to travel as needed to manage projects effectively.

- Ability to write good proposals and engage with new and existing clients.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Ability to lead junior to senior technical staff in-office or on-site as required.
- Business development, networking and company/technical presentations.
- Ability to secure new work through networking and technical platforms.
- Good project finance knowledge.
- Ability to travel to clients, and project sites locally and within Africa.
