Overview of the Role: The Management Consultant Intern will be an integral part of Focus Africa Consulting Zambia’s dynamic team. Working closely under the guidance of the Business Development Manager, the intern will contribute to the management of ongoing assignments and play a pivotal role in drafting new consultancy proposals primarily in the domains of Agriculture, Agribusiness, Policy, and Strategic Management. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to gain firsthand experience and exposure within the context of Focus Africa’s expansion strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and project teams to support ongoing consultancy assignments.
Assist in researching, drafting, and refining consultancy proposals with a focus on Agriculture, Agribusiness, Policy, and Strategic Management.
Stay updated with contemporary consultancy trends, tools, and methodologies to infuse innovation into proposal drafting and ongoing projects.
Ensure adherence to quality control measures, reviewing deliverables, and suggesting improvements where necessary.
Engage in effective oral and written communication to facilitate seamless collaboration among team members and clients.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and client interactions, contributing insights and taking notes as required.
Contribute to the development of client presentations, reports, and other project-related documentation.


Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Economics, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related disciplines.
Demonstrated passion for consultancy and a keen interest in fields related to Agriculture, Agribusiness, Policy, and Strategic Management.
Proven ability to stay self-driven, take initiative, and work effectively both independently and within a team.
Awareness of contemporary trends in management and consultancy practices.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
