Job Title: Manager – Digital Media
Mission/ Core Purpose of the Job:
To support the Brand and Media Management strategy, architecture and communication plan that is congruent with the MTN Marketing Strategy and in alignment with the requirements of MTN Zambia’s overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Oversee Digital Marketing Strategy – crafting and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that with overall business objectives;
- Execute strategic Social, Programmatic & Google ad campaign;
- Execute strategic segmented digital targeted campaigns harnessing Customer Value Management data;
- Establish and manage digital go-to-market plans for new product launches and campaigns;
- Monitor Competitor Activities and Market Trends – Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor digital media activities and industry trends to inform strategic recommendations;
- Utilize key market indices to gauge brand preference, equity and market share, supporting data-driven decision-making;
- Enhance Brand Presence and Engagement by creating content strategy that harnesses different content formats to best achieve the targets on each channel;
- Oversee all brand activities online, aiming to build and maintain an engaged digital community;
- Implement Brand Equity Strategies by leading the execution of brand equity-building strategies for the master brand, ensuring consistency with group expectations;
- Content Development and Distribution – developing and overseeing content creation and distribution strategies that resonate with target audiences and enhance brand affinity, localised tone that resonates with the Zambian market;
- Cross-Departmental Brand Support – Provide strategic digital marketing support to other departments, ensuring cohesive brand messaging and digital presence.
- Agency and Vendor Management – Manage day-to-day interactions with digital media and creative advertising agencies, ensuring alignment with brand strategy;
- Collaborate with media agencies to develop and execute media plans and strategies that differentiate the brand in the market;
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting (Digital Ad Verification)s – Ensure timely delivery of weekly/monthly performance reports to senior management, providing insights and actionable recommendations and monitoring progress;
- Maintain Professional and Ethical Standards;
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field;
- Additional certifications or degree in Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Google Analytics Certification, Facebook Blueprint Certification, HTML/CSS.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ marketing within an FMCG or Advertising / Communications Industry;
- Experience with various digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., WordPress, Eskimi, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, SEMrush)
- Grade 12 Certificate. (5 O’ Level credits, including compulsorily English Language and Mathematics).
