To support our operations, we are looking for a Mechanic to join our Agronomy Development and Extension Training (ADET) centre in Chisamba.
Position purpose
The position exists to provide auto mechanics to ADET vehicles (cars, buses and tractors) & genset and to carry out routine, scheduled servicing, and issuing fuel. Frequent mileage checking of the vehicles and service records, and complete work specified in the manufacturer’s service schedules. Complete simple servicing tasks, such as changing engine oil and filters or checking lubricant levels.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 school certificate.
- Diploma in auto repair/mechanics.
- At least 3 years’ experience in in mechanics, experience in repairing cars, buses, tractors.
- Ability to perform manual tasks as assigned.
- Reliable and dependable.

- Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Ability to operate a variety of small hand tools.
- Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
