Mining Manager at CAMCO Equipment Zambia

Requirements:

• BEng Mining / BTech Eng Mining / Bsc Metallurgy.
• Certificate of Competency in Mining.
• Minimum five years of operational hard rock mechanized mining experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a senior mining management position.
• Background in Mine Planning will be an advantage.
• Full understanding of the acquisition of mining licenses and mining legal framework in Zambia.
• Valid membership from a professional institution from the Engineering Institute of Zambia

Main tasks & responsibilities:

• Engage and deal with all relevant authorities, from traditional authorities to statutory bodies involved in the mining process.
• Plan and execute the mining operation, optimizing resource utilization to meet production requirements with compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Advise management on prospective minerals that can add value to mining operations.
• Ensure proper planning and resource utilization during shift operations.
• Ensure safe and smooth mining operations while maintaining compliance with safety norms.
• Act as the lead person to coordinate all activities and communication within the site/project areas and between those areas and other offices and locations.
• Coordinate and implement indirect activities, both internal and external, required to support productive project execution.
