DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented On Site Service Technician – Level II to join our team specializing in Service for our Kitwe Service Team in Kitwe, Zambia.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Customer Engagement: By engaging customers courteously and professionally, you will build strong relationships and ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
- Efficient Repairs: Utilizing specialized tools and following documented procedures, you will diagnose and complete less complex repairs accurately, minimizing downtime for the customer.
- Preventative Maintenance: Coaching customer employees on preventative maintenance and basic repairs will enhance their skills and reduce the likelihood of future issues.
- Issue Escalation: By escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors, you ensure that complex problems are addressed promptly, maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Accurate Documentation: Completing required documentation accurately and timely will support warranty claims, quality control, and overall service efficiency.
- Continuous Learning: By completing training in line with skill and business requirements, you will stay updated on the latest techniques and tools, improving your service quality.
- Workplace Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and properly functioning work area and tools will ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies and reporting any issues will contribute to a safe workplace for everyone
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Customer Focus: Build strong customer relationships and deliver needs-based solutions.
- Diagnostics Application: Translate complaints into troubleshooting plans, use tools/software for repairs, and document results accurately.
- Technical Escalation: Obtain and use technical info, escalate complex issues, and ensure seamless documentation.
- EIZ Certification: Validate expertise and meet required standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution or current relevant electrical certification.
- Locally valid driving permit.
- Basic level field service work experience.
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products.
- Customer service experience.
