Job Description:

RACS is looking for an experienced Oracle Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our Oracle X8, X9, ZS9, SPARC series, ZDLR, and Oracle Database Appliance. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of these appliances and should be able to handle firmware and patch upgrades, analyze system-related issues and suggest solutions to prevent them from happening again.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and maintenance for Oracle X8, X9, ZS9, SPARC series, ZDLR, and Oracle Database Appliance

Handle firmware and patch upgrades

Analyze system-related issues and suggest effective solutions

Work closely with other teams to ensure all systems are working optimally

Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Provide technical leadership to the team on best practices and new technologies

Keep accurate documentation of technical procedures and processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Extensive knowledge of Oracle X8, X9, ZS9, SPARC series, ZDLR, and Oracle Database Appliance

Strong experience in firmware and patch upgrades

Experience in analyzing system-related issues and suggesting solutions

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Requirements:

Minimum 4+ years of experience in Oracle infrastructure engineering Ability to work well in a team environment.

Experience with backup and recovery processes for Oracle databases

Knowledge of Zero Data Loss Recovery (ZDLR) technology

Familiarity with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN)

Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization

Understanding of database security and compliance requirements

Hand to hand experience to work on the Oracle Solaris

Experience of installing the Exadata and Supercluster systems
