To support this vision KCM SmelterCo Limited would like to recruit an experienced and qualified individual for the following positions in the Smelter Department.

1. Plant Metallurgist – Acid Plant 500 TPD x1

Job Purpose
Will be responsible for the day to day operation of the plant in relation to production, equipment maintenance and environmental control.

Provide technical input on improvement of projects, test work and cost reduction initiatives. Timely Metallurgical accounting and generation of production reports.
Conduct audits, reconciliations and monitor physical material inventories for planning and consumption forecasts.
Plant parameter monitoring, optimization and development of standard operating procedures to ensure compliance.
Develop information record of plant operations, plant availability, plant utilization, sulphur capture, sulphur recovery and acid production.
Troubleshoot and provide guidance to plant operatives in resolving process plant problems.
Assist in production planning, preparation of shutdown jobs and accomplishment of set targets. Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
Establishing effective communication with the production planning team.
Comply with Health Safety and Environment standards and policies.

Requirements:
Grade 12 School Certificate
Degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering
Minimum 3 years industrial experience
Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong problem solving & analysis skills
Registered member of EIZ
