Description:

JOB PURPOSE
To analyze and manage investment portfolios to ensure alignment with the overall investment strategy and objectives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of investment portfolios, including securities, assets,
    and performance metrics.
  2. Evaluate the risk and return characteristics of individual investments and the
    portfolio as a whole.
  3. Use various financial models and tools to assess portfolio performance and
    identify areas for improvement.
  4. Optimize the allocation of assets within the portfolio to achieve the desired
    risk-return profile.
  5. Monitor and adjust asset allocations based on market conditions, economic
    factors, and changes in investment strategy.
  6. Assess and manage the risk exposure of the portfolio.
  7. Recommend risk management strategies for implementation to mitigate potential losses and ensure compliance with risk tolerance levels.
  8. Stay informed about market trends, economic indicators, and other factors that could impact investment decisions.
  9. Conduct research on specific industries, sectors, and securities to inform investment recommendations.
  10. Develop and maintain performance measurement metrics to evaluate the success of the portfolio
  11. Generate reports and presentations for stakeholders, providing insights into portfolio performance and explaining any variances from benchmarks.
  12. Provide updated to the Investment Manager regarding portfolio activities, performance, strategy, and any changes in investment outlook.
  13. Utilize financial modeling tools, software, and data analytics to support portfolio analysis.
  14. Ensure that the portfolio adheres to regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
    Stay informed about changes in financial regulations that may impact portfolio management activities.
  15. Any other duties assigned by the Investments Manager

Requirements:

 

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Minimum level of academic qualifications required to perform effectively in the role

• GCE or Equivalent with Credits or Better in Five Subjects, Mathematics and English Included.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics /Accounting/ Finance/Business Administration or business related fields,

• ACCA/CIMA/ZICA /CFA or equivalent
Minimum level of professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
