The Judicial Complaints Commission (JCC) is a statutory body established pursuant to Article 236 (1) of the Constitution, Chapter 1 of the Laws of Zambia. Its Mission is to “Timely address grievances from the public against judges and judicial officers for a just and accountable judicial system. “In its quest to improve service delivery, the Commission is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1)
1. Reports to: Secretary
Location: Lusaka
Main Duties
- Undertakes effectively the coordination of the development of the procurement plan in order to guide the procurement process and facilitate decision making.
- Undertakes efficiently the provision of secretariat services to the Procurement Committee in order to facilitate smooth conduct of meetings.
- Undertakes timely the preparations of bidding documents in order to ensure transparency in the tendering process and compliance with laid down procedures.
- Undertakes timely procurement of goods, services and works in order to meet end user requirements.
- Undertakes effectively the preparation of procurement reports in order to comply with statutory requirements.
- Undertakes effectively the maintenance of procurement database in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information.
- Undertakes effectively the coordination of administration of supply contracts in order to ensure their successful execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
(a) Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
(b) Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or its equivalent
(c) Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
(d) 6 years experience
(e) Ability to write technical and analytical reports
(f) Ability to communicate effectively in English
