Scaw Limited is a Copperbelt-based manufacturing Company specialized in the manufacturing of grinding media, castings products and industrial oxygen and acetylene, that was established in 1960.
The Company seeks to employ a suitably qualified, experienced and result oriented individual to fill up the following position(s) on a two-year contract renewable depending on individual performance;
1. QUALITY INSPECTOR (02)
The purpose of this role is to support all Metallurgical Operations of the plant as well as monitor and liaise with sectional production teams to ensure targets for product quality are achieved.
Duties and Responsibilities;
Ensure control of incoming material and final product control
Monitor and supervise the metallurgical operations of the plant
Respond to all technical queries from internal and external customers
Carry out metallurgical investigations on operating parameters, products, processes, preparation and presentation of technical reports to relevant officials
Spearhead and cultivate team work among all sectional teams
Spearheading the implementation of the culture of continual improvement in area of responsibility
Spearheading the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 in area of responsibility
Skills and Competencies
Advanced Computer Skills
Basic Knowledge of internal quality management system requirements
Internal auditing experience in any international quality management
Internal auditing experience in any international quality management system
Excellent technical report writing skills
Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with Five (05) Credits better.
Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Sciences, Foundry or any related disciplines.
Minimum Two (02) Years’ experience in foundry practices, concentrator or metallurgical laboratory.
