The Key Purpose of the role is to supports shift operations by ensuring front line problem solving for out-of-control processes, may operate machinery as required and executing maintenance tasks on laboratory utensils and instrument/machinery such as cleaning and basic maintenance.

Key purpose and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others in his / her designated area
  • Responsible for Machine safe practises, PTW, LOTO and SAM
  • Accountable for all quality process checks to be done as per prescribed frequency
  • Responsible for quality packaged product within designated work area
  • Ensure Problem solving for all out of control processes
  • Required to escalate Out of control processes to Team Leader or Packaging Lab Manager
  • Execute Quality @ Source, BBT management and  Acceptance.
  • Verify compliance with daily routines as per Agenda of Routine
  • Production, changeovers, cleaning and lubrication, autonomous maintenance inspections and Quality problem solving
  • Operate equipment according to SOP’s.

Key roles and competencies:

  • Occupational Health, Safety and Risk Ensure that Brewery quality and safety targets are met
  • Ensure overall reliability of production Process optimisation and asset management and plant availability
  • Adherence to AB InBev and global packaging quality standards
  • Facilitate team problem solving and decision making
  • Ensure training need analyses are conducted and training plans developed for team members
  • Ensure appropriate competencies are developed in the team, and ensure cross skilling occurs within the packaging shift team
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Process operators, BOP and Process Artisans
  • Provide reliable feedback to the Packaging Engineering team to allow for problem solving

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Education:  Min: Grade 12
  • Technical qualifications (Elec, Mech, Laboratory Tech, Instrumental)
  • At least 1-3 years factory production experience
  • Demonstrated experience in shift production
  • Experience in Quality control systems
