KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare reports on costs and budgets.
  • Conduct cost control and value engineering. Identify commercial risks and opportunities related to cost and contractual issues.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, standards, and procedures.
  • Prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
  • Oversee efficient contract preparation and management, ensuring effective performance monitoring, claims handling, and dispute resolution.
  • Primarily focus on managing Underground Construction and Mining Business partners by strategically leveraging the Commercial Contract.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a quantity surveying role within the Mining industry.
  • Expertise in construction contracts like NEC, FIDIC or bespoke contract suites.
